BR 2-09: The Three Wishes

This bool was written by Lesley Sims. The story is about Ned and Nat, a fairy and a sausage.

Ned and Nat were hungry. They were always hungry. One day, he helped a fairy. She was very small. "Thank you. Have three wishes," said the fairy. Ned ran home and shouted to Nat. Nat want to wear a beautiful dress. But Ned said, " A sausage." She was angry. Ned was cross and he said," I wish the sausage was on the end of your nose!" And it was. Nat was very very very cross. So Ned said, "I wish the sausage was off your nose". And it was.

"Now we have no wishes", said Nat. "But we have a sausage!" said Ned.

The Three Wishes is an old folk tale from Northern Europe. This version is adapted from the tale told in Sweden.
